With delight we invite you to our 2025 Awards Banquet on Tuesday, April 8, 2025 at the Wildwood Country Club. This year we will honor our 50-year members: Dr. Robert Martin Buchanan, Dr. Thomas L Starr and Mr. Frederick W Benz, as well as our 60-year member: Mr. Morris Arthur Johnson, and we hope they will be able to join our Chemistry Olympiad winners, our outstanding graduates from our local universities, and our science fair winners at this delicious meal and uplifting event. Our honorees would be delighted to interact with you over dinner and exchange ideas over the generations as you help motivate future scientists.
Because this is a school night (and earlier in the year than usual due to Easter, Passover, and Derby), we have an early schedule:
6:30-6:45 PM mixer, introductions
6:45-7:15 PM Dinner buffet
7:15 PM Recognition of the science fair winners, Olympiad Nominees, Outstanding Chemistry Graduates, and any of our 50- and 60-Year ACS members available
7:45 PM Announcements, Travel Blessings, and Closing
The local section is absorbing all the cost of the meals, but we need to give Wildwood Country Club an exact count—for we pay over $30 per person for whom we have reserved a meal. Please respond as soon as possible by phone or email to our webmaster, Louis Holzknecht, at (502) 657-8828 or lfholz229@gmail.com before Friday, April 4, so we can let Wildwood Country Club know how many meals to prepare. Please make sure you get a confirmation from us (by text or email) of how many “eaters” you will have total so that we can give a correct number to the country club.
We hope to see you there but understand if you cannot come.
